I'm not getting proximity alerts
Alerts need two permissions: Location set to Always (not just "While Using"), and notifications allowed. Both are in your device settings under LocalList. Alerts are also off by default — turn them on per place, or for the whole list in Settings.
Alerts are firing when a place is closed
Where opening hours are available, LocalList holds the alert until the place is open. If hours aren't published for that place, it can't know — mark it visited or turn its alert off.
A place search returns nothing
Search uses Google Places, with an OpenStreetMap-based fallback. If both come back empty, drop a pin on the map instead and name it yourself.
Battery use
Battery saver mode checks your position far less often and is the default. Instant mode reacts faster and uses more battery. Neither uploads your location — the matching happens on your device.
Where is my data?
On your device only. There is no account and no server of ours holding your list, which also means uninstalling the app deletes it. See the Privacy Policy.
